The Price of Char Kuey Teow

my car's injuries suffered from last weekend's accident would not be fixed, as my dad puts it (while dripping with sarcasm), because i should wait around for the next accident to happen and fix it all at one go. simply preposterous!!! so far, i have only managed to get myself into the strangest accidents with inanimate objects such as entangled to a rock and reversing into Joey's family car. so i was totally the victim when the lorry driver forgot to brake and crashed into my car. and its not the medium-sized kinda pick-up lorry, we're talking about huge truck here. when i demanded compensation from the lorry driver, he showed his wallet which only contains RM151. feeling a bit sorry for him and not wanting to haggle anymore, i asked for 150 bucks. but he said he's delivering stocks all the way to Tanjung Malim, and he would not have any cash left to pay for the toll. even though i'm not exactly sure where Tg Malim is but it sure does sounds far. this poor guy

Shameless

i don't know what prompted me to write this totally shameless post. as it happens, i was struggling with a speedometer-like device manufactured by a customer. after half an hour of furious typing thru Yahoo Msger with the customer, i still couldn't start up the device, let alone program it. phone call was not favourable becos intercontinental calls tend to lag by 2 seconds which is very annoying. getting older is so much fun. i had a pre-birthday celebration at one of the restaurants in little korea. kinda into all things korean nowadays, i especially love their music, drama, food and football team (Park Ji Sung!!). so what better way to usher my 23rd birthday than to eat korean BBQ and drink soju? everybody say "kimchi"! i don't know how we ended up with SO MUCH food... the restaurant manager was kinda skeptical when we ordered the cheo um cheo reom soju that contains about 30% alchohol. he kept on asking us to change it to a milder label but i was pretty insistent. i want the pretty green bottle that every table is having! so in the end he challenged us to finish up the bottle and he'll give a smaller bottle free in return. eng wei is allergic to alcohol, fiona needs to cram for a big accounting exam and elaine does not believe in drink and drive. so left with me and lu to do most of the dirty job. and yayy, we got the next bottle free. the manager obviously
