Close call
Five months of stay in the states, cotton-brained me is still unable to get the time zone right. during a phone call with my mom, she was asking me for the hundredth time my arrival date in KL.
me: i told you already, i'm arriving on merdeka day afternoon.
mom: good, that's on friday. are you sure? remember to confirm with the airlines.
me: don't worry, i'm very sure.
mom: then when is your last day at work? don't forget to start packing soon.
me: don't worry, everything is under control. i'm going to the airport on friday nite, cos my flight is around 1am.
mom: what?! you fly on friday nite and reach on friday noon? isn't US already behind time?
hmmm...is that...not possible?
double-checked the ticket (actually i never did studied it closely), shi*t, i think i almost missed my wednesday flight.
